No certain date is known for the foundation of the pharmacy. The furniture, the sales counter and the shelves, dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, were originally the furnishings of the Communal Pharmacy situated on the ground floor of the Town Hall in Piazza della Repubblica. The pharmacy was moved to its current location, a modern construction outside of the historic center, in 1983, at which time the antique furnishings were restored.
