Istituto Tecnico Industriale Statale "Tito Sarrocchi" ["Tito Sarrocchi" State Technical Industrial Institute]

Originating as the Regia Scuola Industriale [Royal Industrial School], it assumed the name of Regia Scuola di avviamento al lavoro "Tito Sarrocchi" ["Tito Sarrocchi" Royal School of Vocational Training] in 1924. It was endowed from the beginning with a well-equipped workshop which served as a real training school for carpenters, carvers and mechanics-electricians . Noteworthy among the numerous initiatives promoted by the Institute is the first experiment in radio broadcasting of a concert, which took place on the school premises in March 1927. The school's current name dates from the end of World War II.

The Institute possesses two collections of scientific instruments: one consists of electronic equipment, telecommunications devices and instruments for electrotechnics; the other is made up of physics and chemistry apparatus.
