This small astrolabe comprises five tympanums for latitudes 40°/41°, 42°/43°, 44°/45°, 46°/47°, and 48°/49°, all corresponding to central Europe.
The rule is graduated and the back displays the zodiacal and lunar calendars. The instrument is documented in the late-nineteenth-century inventories of the Museo di Antichi Strumenti of Florence, which received it from the Modena Observatory.
