This remarkable paper manuscript of 252 leaves constitutes the second version of the Trattato of Francesco. In relation to the first version, there is an increased number of citations of classical authors, while the section on architecture is predominant over the machines, which are less numerous. A series of drawings of military architecture and war-machines concludes the manuscript, which also contains Francesco's translation of Vitruvius's De architectura.
