Ms. Palatino 767 (BNCF)
Facsimile; late 15th century; 27x18 cm
This vellum codex of 268 pages presents a collection of drawings derived almost all from the manuscripts of Taccola and Francesco di Giorgio. A small number of drawings (especially of mortars) seems to be original. The figures are drawn with care and with a steady hand, suggesting their attribution to an artist from the workshop of Francesco di Giorgio.
pp. 206-207: Counterweighted revolving elevator (left) and mobile trolley with variable settings (rigth).
