Johann Kepler

Dissertatio cum Nuncio sidereo, Florentiae, Jo. Antonium Canaeum, 1610

[IMSS: Med 955]

Only a few weeks after the publication of the Starry Messenger, Kepler had already read it. In April 19, 1610, he sent to Galileo a letter with compliments for the sensational discoveries made using the telescope. In 1610, the letter was published in Prague, with the title Discussion on the Starry Messenger, and also in Florence, perhaps under pressure of Galileo himself.
