Galileo Galilei
Dialogo sopra i due massimi sistemi del Mondo tolemaico e copernicano, in Fiorenza, per Gio. Batista Landini, 1632
[IMSS: Med 1190]
Galileo wrote the Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems in shape of a four-day long conversation among three characters: Salviati, Sagredo and Simplicio. The conversation ranged from physic to astronomy, with a particular emphasis on the relativity principle of motions and on telescopic observations, stressing out the insufficiency of the Aristotelian physics.
