Telescope consisting of two cardboard tubes (apparently Italian) and a small brass tube (apparently English or French). It is complete with objective, compound eyepiece and diaphragms. The compound eyepiece is lodged in the brass tube. The telescope belonged to Jean-Louis Pons and was donated to the Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza by the heirs of the distinguished astronomer after the first National Exhibition of History of Science (Florence, 1929), where it was displayed.
