An incomplete specimen of the apparatus designed by Leopoldo Nobili to repeat the experiment invented by Michael Faraday on the rotation of conductors. There are two parts: the lower is a Voltaic battery in which the electrolyte (acidified water) is poured; the upper carried an upright cylindrical magnet with a light mobile conductor (missing).
