The round wooden base holds a column on which a brass frame is attached. The frame carries three interacting first-order levers, bearing two different weights. The frame also supports a fourth first-order lever whose hinged arm is marked with six equidistant notches. The apparatus is attributed to Nairne & Blunt. Provenance: Lorraine collections.
