The military-surgery instruments in the surgical instrument kit designed by Giovanni Alessandro Brambilla are assembled in three drawers:

Drawer no. XXIX, CAUTERIA, contains a set of cauteries;

No. XXV, ANEURISMATIBUS, contains implements for compressing aneurisms, with stitching needles and bands;

No. XXVI, BELULCA, contain instruments for extracting projectiles and the "ball extractor" used by Renaissance military surgeons.

The instruments were made by the cutler Joseph Malliard.
