Small balance for weighing precious stones. Mounted on a brass base with three feet, one of which is fitted with a leveling screw. The top of the pillar support holds an attachment for the scale, which consists of a circle sector graduated in grams and carats. The mobile arm hinged to the top of the pillar carries a counterweight on the scales side, and a brass pan suspended by four strings on the opposite end. Typical example of pendulum scale.
