In March 2006 Olschki published the 61st volume of the Nuncius Library, entitled "Scienza e teologia fra Seicento e Ottocento. Studi in memoria di Maurizio Mamiani" (Science and Theology between the 17th and 19th Centuries - Studies in memory of Maurizio Mamiani) and edited by Chiara Giuntini and Brunello Lotti. The book is a collection of contributions received during the conference organized in memory of Maurizio Mamiani (held in Udine in 2004) and focuses on the relationships between Christian thought and the development of scientific analysis from Galileo until the 19th century. Maurizio Mamiani (1942-2002) taught History of Science at the University of Udine and directed the Philosophical Sciences Department from 1997 to 1999. Among his fields of research are the origins of Descartes' physics and space theories from Descartes to Newton.
