The historical heritage of the Italian Astronomical Observatories

Description:	On June 27th and 28th, the IMSS hosted the workshop "The Historical and Instrumental Heritage of INAF - Problems and Proposals". The workshop was organized by the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) on the initiative of the "Museums' Workgroup" coordinated by Ileana Chinnici and made up of both internal members and representatives of IMSS and of the University of Bologna. In the presence of Roberto Pallavicini Tesi, Director of the INAF Research Department, the two day workshop represented a good opportunity to compare the different realities to be found in some of the Italian astronomical observatories regarding preservation, classification and enhancement of the huge heritage of ancient scientific instruments hosted by those institutions.
