Description: |
On June 6th, the IMSS signed an agreement with the Centre for the Enhancement and Restoration of Ancient Instruments and Clocks (CSVR) belonging to the "Leonardo da Vinci" technical school in Florence. The agreement focuses on the antique clock collections housed by the IMSS, both on display and in storage. Over the next two years, the master clockmakers Fabrizio Cambi and Andrea Corti, coordinated by Andrea Palmieri, will examine the different clocks, update their classifications, study their mechanisms from a historical-technical point of view, record the condition of their parts and determine the type of restoration required. The CSVR experts will then make it possible to enhance a part of the IMSS holdings, presently difficult to interpret. |
