Description: |
After great success in Beijing (Museum of Natural History, May 20 – September 20, 2006), the exhibition will be presented in Wuhan, where it will be on display at the Wuhan International Exhibition and Convention Center. The Wuhan venue, as well as that of Beijing, is an adaptation of the exhibition "Renaissance Engineers. From Brunelleschi to Leonardo da Vinci", conceived and developed by the Institute and Museum of the History of Science. It presents the whole section on Leonardo da Vinci together with a significant synthesis of the other two sections, devoted to Filippo Brunelleschi and the Sienese engineers Taccola and Francesco di Giorgio. The working models of "Leonardo's Automobile" are also on display. The Wuhan venue is promoted and funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, General Direction for Research Coordination and Development, in collaboration with the Institute and Museum of the History of Science and the Hubei Association for Science and Technology, as part of "The Year of Italy in China" 2006.
