España en el Mediterráneo: La costrucción del espacio

Description:	December 14 will witness the opening at the Biblioteca Nacional de España of the exhibition "España en el Mediterráneo" organized by the Centro de Estudios Históricos de Obras Públicas y Urbanismo (CEHOPU) of the CEDEX. Curated by Miguel Aguiló, the exhibition aims at emphasizing the role of architecture and technology in outlining the shape of Western Mediterranean Basin and, in particular, Spain, Italy (Lombardy and Kingdom of the Two Sicilies) and Northern Africa, in the period between the 15th and the 18th centuries. The exhibition displays a large archival documentation belonging to Spanish and European institutions and is enriched by scientific instruments (on loan by IMSS), models and photographs.
