Foucault's Pendulum in the Cathedral

Description:	In order to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the opening of the permanent exhibition "Per un Museo dei Mezzi di Comunicazione" in Arezzo, directed by Fausto Casi, the Comune di Arezzo and the cultural association "Il Mondo in Casa" have organized within Arezzo's Cathedral a public demontration of Léon Foucault's experiment to point out the Earth's rotation thanks to the pendulum. The event, developed in collaboration with Rotary Club di Arezzo and the IMSS, will be divided into two sessions: the first, open to the general public, will take place on the evening of December 14, at 9.00 pm, the second, designed for the schools in the province of Arezzo, is scheduled for December 15, at 10.30 am. The initiative will be attended by scientists and science historians.
