Among the events organized to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the disastrous flood that happened in Florence on November 4, 1966 - damaging or completely destroying a remarkable part of its historical and artistic heritage - the Rotary Club Area Medicea presented select Florentine institutions a special award. On November 11, the IMSS was awarded for its involvement in the cultural historical revival of Florence.
