Leonardo's Colossus at the Window on Science Festival

Description:	This year the IMSS took part in the Window on Science festival - sponsored and organised by the University of Milan, the Provincia di Milano, the Fondazione Cineteca Italiana, and Europaws - in category C: "Research institutes and museums documentaries". On March 28, the film "Leonardo's Colossus: The Challenge of the Sforza Monument", written by Andrea Bernardoni with the advice of Paolo Galluzzi, was shown. The documentary, created by the Multimedia Laboratory and video directed by the Pesci Combattenti company, presents one of the most ambitious artistic and technological challenges of the Renaissance. Thanks to Leonardo's drawings and notes, it was possible to reconstruct the monument's molding and casting process through digital animation techniques.
