On the occasion of the 17th Week of Scientific Culture, the IMSS Digital Library released the initial online version of Giorgio Roster's Archive.
The scientific activity of Giorgio Roster (1843-1927) ranged from medicine to climatology to mineralogy. With a strong experimental vocation, he turned to photography as an essential aid for scientific research and education. The contributions collected in the digital library dedicated to him (15 printed documents and 230 photographs) highlight his multifaceted interests. The project is carried out with the invaluable collaboration of Nadia Sensi (Facoltą di Lettere of the University of Siena, Arezzo Branch). |
