Roundtable Conference on the IMSS Visitor Services

Description:	On March 6th, during the 18th Annual Scientific Culture Week in Tuscany, a roundtable conference entitled "I servizi al pubblico del Museo di Storia della Scienza: la divulgazione 2004-2007" ("IMSS Visitor Services: Dissemination 2004-2007") took place, organized by the IMSS and the Cooperativa Opera d'Arte, in collaboration with the Provincia di Firenze. Claudio Rosati, who is in charge of Museums within the Regione Toscana, chaired the conference attended by Filippo Camerota, Carmen Gagliardi and Andrea Gori for the IMSS and by Mariapia Cattolico and Giorgia Marotta for Opera d'Arte. The meeting aimed at analyzing the developments and the results of a new visitor service implemented at the IMSS since 2004, conceived to meet visitors' needs (both as single visitors and as groups) and to popularize science. Particular attention was givento the important contributions of Opera d'Arte in welcoming visitors and to the new activities offered by the IMSS' staff such as the "Specific Experience Visits" and the "Accompanied Visits for the Visually Impaired".
