Current projects of the Digital Library

Description:	Among the projects being carried out by the IMSS Digital Library are the acquisition of 355 works pertaining to the collection "Matematica Antica" ("Historical Mathematics", a rich documentation consisting of ca. 1,100 titles, dating back to the 16th to 18th centuries, mostly belonging to the Library "Carlo Viganò" of the Università Cattolica in Brescia) and the digitization of 91 works of the collection "Sapere Scientifico" ("Scientific Knowledge", 16-18th-century texts of great significance for the history of science). Both projects are curated by the "Giardino di Archimede. Un museo per la matematica" and BEIC (European Library of Information and Culture). The acquisitions should be completed by the end of February 2008.
