Historical Mathematics Collection

Description:	In January 2007 the IMSS Library acquired the collection "La matematica antica su CD-rom" (Historical Mathematics on CD-rom). The ongoing collection has been produced by "Il Giardino di Archimede. Un museo per la matematica" and is made up of about 1,100 works related to mathematics and allied sciences originally published in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, and mostly belonging to the Library "Carlo Viganò" of the Università Cattolica in Brescia. Immediately after its acquisition, the collection was catalogued. It is now available to scholars and consultable via the Library's online catalogue using traditional search methods. From the entry page to the online catalogue (http://biblioteca.imss.fi.it/), clicking on "Historical Mathematics on CD-rom Collection" accesses a list in short format of the whole collection.
