XII Conference on the History and Foundations of Chemistry

Description:	From September 19th to 22nd, the Sala Ferri in Palazzo Strozzi and the Tribuna Galileiana of the Natural History Museum in Florence hosted the XII Conference on the History and Foundations of Chemistry, organized by the Department of Organic Chemistry "Ugo Schiff" of Florence, by the Gruppo Nazionale di Fondamenti e Storia della Chimica (GNFSC), under the patronage of the IMSS and the Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze in Rome. The conference saw the participation of more than 40 speakers from universities, research institutes and Italian secondary schools. During the conference, Silvano Tagliagambe delivered a speech to celebrate the Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev (1834-1907).
