Boffito Collection: Reviews

Description:	In November 2003, thanks to the Regione Toscana, the library of the Institute and Museum of the History of Science was gifted the scientific collection of the personal library of Giuseppe Boffito (1869-1944), scholar of multiple interests and well-known science historian. The collection, previously housed at the Collegio "Alla Querce" of Florence, is made up of approximately 3,000 works (monographs, pamphlets and periodicals) mainly dealing with historical-scientific topics and published between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The arrangement and the cataloguing of the reviews (ca. 175 titles) was completed recently. The reviews are now, together with the monographs and the pamphlets, available to scholars and consultable via the library's online catalogue using traditional search methods.
