Description:	While arranging and describing archival materials, the Roster collection was recently catalogued: Giorgio Roster (1843-1927) was a biohygenics professor with multifaceted interests, that included experimental photography. The collection, made up of approximately 300 documents, is comprised of photographs, photomicrographs and telephotographs taken by Roster between 1888 and 1895, as well as drawings, graphs, planimetries and notes. Particularly interesting are the 22 sanitary registers. The collection was catalogued within the IMSS database and the records related to the collection, series and pamphlets are therefore available in the Library opac (within the IMSS general database or by selecting the "Archive" database). The photographic material has also been digitized and it is presently accessible both on the IMSS Intranet (ICONA database) and by accessing the Digital Library web pages.
