Collaboration between Agenzia Scuola (formerly INDIRE) and IMSS for the education of new teachers

Description:	Between April and June 2008 the Agenzia Scuola activated 30 history of science workshops destined for the long-distance education of new teachers. Such workshops, organized in collaboration with the Institute and Museum of the History of Science, dealt with the history of astronomy, with Galileo Galilei and with the relationship between art and science. Some history of mathematics courses were also offered in collaboration with "Il giardino di Archimede. Un Museo per la Matematica". The initiative met with great success: about 430 teachers (out of 600 available posts) joined up and new workshops were requested.
