The Textiles by Benozzo Gozzoli in the Cavalcade of the Magi

Description:	From November 13 to 16 Palazzo Medici Riccardi, in Florence, hosted the exhibit entitled "The Textiles by Benozzo Gozzoli in the Cavalcade of the Magi". The exhibition of textiles and instruments highlighted the relationship between the pictorial arts and the fruitful commercial life of 15th century Florence, where in the ateliers the craft and the application of innovative technology were taught. The exhibition has been realized thanks to the faithful reconstruction by the company Rubelli in warp and weft of the motifs on the fabrics depicted in frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli. Moreover, within the project "Costruttori di cittadinanza" of the Provincia di Firenze, a free exhibit-workshop has been set up from November 19, 2008 until April 29, 2009, (reservation required, 055210866) for secondary schools of the province of Florence.
