Guided observations of the sun's passage along the meridian line within Santa Maria Novella Church

Description:	For the first time in March 2008, the Institute and Museum of the History of Science, Opera per Santa Maria Novella and the Istituto Geografico Militare with the contribution of the Provincia di Firenze, organized a guided observation of the sun's passage along the meridian line of Santa Maria Novella's floor utilizing the antique astronomical instruments of Egnazio Danti. The observations were repeated on the occasion of the fall equinox and winter solstice. This activity is planned for 2009, but the dates have not yet been set.
