Observations in Santa Maria Novella scheduled for 2009

As indicated in the December 2008 - January 2009 edition of the Nuncius Newsletter, by the initiatvie of the Institute and Museum of the History of Science, Opera per Santa Maria Novella and the Istituto Geografico Militare with the contribution of the Provincia di Firenze, a guided observation of the sun's passage along the meridian line of Santa Maria Novella's floor was organized in 2008. The antique astronomical instruments of Egnazio Danti were used to make these observations.
The observations and presentations will be held inside of Santa Maria Novella Church in 2009 at the following dates and times:
March 20th at 11:30; June 19th at 12:30; September 25th at 12:30; December 18th at 11:30. |
