The Night of the Moon: Literature, Art and Science

Description:	On Saturday, May 16 2009 the Institute and Museum of the History of Science library was transformed into both a stage and observatory for "The Night of the Moon". It was a special night where visitors could admire the antique astronomical instruments of IMSS and learn about Dante's cosmology. As part of the annual city-wide event "All'improvviso Dante, 100 canti per Firenze", this gathering brought together literature, art and science. The event was part of "Amico Museo", a campaign to promote museums and cultural heritage, sponsored by the Regione Toscana.
