Donation of the Stefanelli Collection

Description:	In July 2009 the library of the Institute and Museum of the History of Science received as gift a nucleus of the personal library of Pietro Stefanelli (1835-1919), well-known Florentine professor of entomology, founding member of the Italian Entomological Society and active collaborator of the Istituto Sperimentale per la Zoologia Agraria of Florence. The collection, kindly given by Giuseppe Stefanelli, is made up of approximately 1,400 pamphlets published at the end of the eighteenth century that mainly deal with medicine, chemistry, agronomy and natural sciences. The collection is expected to be catalogued by the end of 2011.
