In January 2010 the volume "L'arte, la scienza, la scuola e la cittą. Proposte di percorsi didattici a Firenze" (Art, Science, School and the City. Proposals of Educational Paths in Florence), edited by Franca Gattini, Claudia Polverini and Carlo Triarico, was published by Polistampa. The book, which is accompanied by a CD-ROM, contains materials related to the refresher course for teachers "Arte e Scienza a Firenze" (Art and Science in Florence), that had been organized, among others, by the Institute and Museum of the History of Science.
The volume offers a detailed itinerary through the city's main historical-scientific point of interest and describes activities of several ancient scientific replicas like the quadrant, nocturnal clock and Galilean and Keplerian telescopes.
