Description:	Promoted and organised by the IMSS and the Centro Studi Enriques of Livorno, the conference entitled Scienze e storia nell'Italia del Novecento (Science and History in 20th-Century Italy) was held on May 20 and 21. In its two-day duration, the first in Livorno and the second in Florence, the conference presented a series of papers by Italian scholars and concluded with a round table discussion. With the scientific coordination of Ferdinando Abbri (University of Arezzo), Ornella Pompeo Faracovi (Centro Studi Enriques), and Claudio Pogliano (University of Pisa), the Italian historians of science discussed and reflected on the past, the present, and the future prospects for their discipline.
