Son of Giovanni Caccini and Maddelena di Paolo Corsini, widow Baroncelli, he was born on April 15, 1573 in Florence. Because of a wound he inflicted he was exiled from Florence and went to Rome where he entered the circle of Cardinal Arrigoni, who in 1611 appointed him cupbearer, and whom he followed to Benevento. At the death of his protector he stayed on awhile in Rome, and after his return to Florence died in 1640.
