London, British Museum, inv. K3567
This is one of the seven tablets, each comprising about 150 verses, that make up the text of a poem in honour of the god Marduk, celebrating his ascent into the Bablyonian pantheon. The poem, known as Enuma elish ("When on High") from its opening line, describes the complex Babylonian cosmogony.
