This globe consists of 24 semi-gores and two polar caps containing 38 northern, 12 zodiacal and 33 southern constellations. Their names are given in Italian, Latin, Greek and Arabic. Coronelli recorded 1,902 stars (Ptolemy had recorded 1,025). The globe was part of the Medici collections.
