Baccio Gherardini
Nacque di Tommaso in Firenze. Abbracciato lo stato ecclesiastico, fu piovano di S. Pancrazio in Valdarno e nel 1592 eletto canonico della Metropolitana fiorentina. Dopo essere stato governatore di Tivoli e di Foligno, fu promosso al vescovado di Fiesole il 14 gennaio 1614, e morì in quella sede il 1° agosto 1620.
He was born in Florence, son of Tommaso Gherardini. He entered the church and was made parish priest of San Pancrazio in Valdarno and in 1592 was chosen as canon of the Florentine Metropolitan. After serving as governor of Tivoli and Foligno, he was promoted to the bishopric of Fiesole on January 14, 1614, and died in that see on August 1, 1620.
