Son of Esał Martellini and Camilla di Pierfilippo Ridolfi, he was born in Florence on April 2, 1580, and in 1609 married Costanza di Jacopo Quaratesi. He was one of the Two-hundred, and also repeatedly of the Six of the Merchants’ Guild, head of the mint, magistrate of the colleges, official of sales and tithes, and of public wards. He died in Florence on March 21, 1650.
