Ex Farmacia Cepellini [Former Cepellini Pharmacy]

The pharmacy was in operation as early as 1848. Having been closed for years, its premises were occupied for a certain time by a shoe shop. Since 1997 they have been occupied by a craftsman bookbinder, but have kept intact the important furnishings of the antique pharmacy, recently restored along with the wrought iron lunette above the entrance. The furnishings consist of open shelves of ivory-coloured wood, divided by pilaster strips surmounted by Ionic capitals with gold decoration. The Galenic stove and the marble sink in the back room are also antique. The drawers in the poisons cabinet still bear their original labels.
