Farmacia dell'Arca [dell'Arca Pharmacy]
The pharmacy is named for the means of transport in which cattle were brought to be sold in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, a market-place in the past. Founded around 1920 and managed by Dr. Bombardini, known for his Galenic medicinals and his processing of spices, it was located on the opposite side of the plaza from the premises it occupies today. It was moved in 1937 and, at the time of its purchase, Dr. Vincenzi, the new proprietor, removed the furnishings, replacing them with the shelves and glass-fronted cabinets that still today run along the walls in the sales area.
