Farmacia Centrale di Siena [Siena Central Pharmacy]
Few records have survived of this pharmacy, one of the city's oldest, located on the ground floor of a medieval tower between Via Banchi di Sotto and Vicolo di San Pietro. The furnishings and decorations, on the outside as well as in the sales area, storage room and back office, date from the late 19th century, with the exception of the modern sales counter. The wrought iron lamp, in Neo-Gothic style, also dates from the late 19th century. Remaining from its antique pharmaceutical equipment, but not displayed, are porcelain jars, urn-shaped and cylindrical, dating from the late 19th and the early 20th century.
