Farmacia Franceschi [Franceschi Pharmacy]

In 1895 Dr. Ilario Franceschi moved the pharmacy, previously known as Morganti, to its current location, and in the same year the furnishings, still present today, were fabricated. They consist of wood panelling on the arches and pilasters, around which were built small glass-fronted cabinets with mirrors. The originality of the design, the high quality of the workmanship and the value of the material (red spruce with walnut inlays and inserts) make the ensemble remarkably precious, and highly individual. Subsequent to restoration work carried out in 1986, a small sales counter with a marble top dating from the early 19th century was added.
