Farmacia Malaspina [Malaspina Pharmacy]
The pharmacy was opened around 1906 by Dr. Domenico Malaspina on the ground floor of his thirteenth-century family palazzo. It still has its original furnishings, consisting of white wooden shelves carved with plant decorations and a projecting frame with egg-and-dart ornamentation. The screen that separated the sales area from the back room has instead been removed. The fine iron grille that decorates the lunette over the entrance to the pharmacy is also antique. Most of the pharmaceutical equipment was unfortunately destroyed in 1944.
