Farmacia Marotta [Marotta Pharmacy]
Founded in 1711, probably as a "spezieria" for poor abandoned girls, the pharmacy was moved to its current location during the 19th century. Its antique furnishings, conserved intact, are now kept in the room used as a herb shop. They consist of wooden shelves with columns surmounted by gilded capitals, and glass-fronted cabinets. On the shelves, along with modern preparations and various jars, are some of the pharmacy's antique objects, including three ceramic jars coming from the renowned kilns of San Quirico d'Orcia.
