The pharmacy was founded in 1933 by Egisto Masi, the father of the present owner. Masi, who for a certain time had worked in the pharmacy of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, bought the premises on which the pharmacy of today is located, furnishing it with nineteenth-century objects from another antique pharmacy, the Nardi in San Carlo Pistoiese. These furnishings consist of a sales counter and white enamelled shelves, with glass-fronted cabinets separated by smooth pilaster strips surmounted by capitals, still today standing along the walls in the sales area.
