Farmacia Sansoni [Sansoni Pharmacy]
Founded in the early years of the 19th century, the pharmacy was entirely renovated in 1925, the year in which new furnishings produced by the Bottigelli company in Milan were installed. On the occasion of the latest remodelling and enlargement initiative, dating from 1989, the old furnishings from the early 20th century were salvaged, and are now well integrated with the new, modern elements. Shelves alternate with glass-fronted cabinets with marble shelves and risers. Equally distinctive are the finishing elements, such as the handles and the geometric decorations on the entrance doors, as well as the signs outside the pharmacy. Of the antique pharmaceutical equipment, there remain 15 white porcelain jars decorated with plant motifs, maidenhair fern and laurel.
