The "Ponte" Cultural Association is active in salvaging, restoring, exhibiting and promoting all testimony to the peasants' civilisation of the past, especially as regards the territory of Piana di Lucca. From the time of its foundation (1985) it has held numerous thematic exhibitions on material culture, for which numerous objects have been collected. Two of its temporary exhibitions have become permanent, retaining their arrangement in thematic sections. The Association has also organised two itinerant photography shows, which have given rise to a collection of vintage photographs and postcards.

The Permanent Ethnographic Exhibition, formed in early 1989 with a section dedicated to weaving and spinning, now consists of four sections: the tradition of maize-growing; wood-working; transport and hoisting; grain; from the field to the table. The objects date from the beginning of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century.
