Museo del Carbonaio [Charcoal Burners' Museum]
In the Museo del Carbonaio, the life and traditions of the mountain people are recalled through the exhibition of instruments, objects and costumes. Special attention is focused on the trades of woodsman and charcoal burner. To illustrate the latter activity, an outdoor itinerary leads to the replica of a charcoal burner's post, cut away to show how the wood is stacked inside it, and a hut like those in which the charcoal burners lived during the charcoal production season. The museum is completed by a lecture hall, situated in the former school of Villa di Baggio, and by an itinerary leading along the ancient mule-trail of Via Baiana.
